After commencing drilling the first well for BP Oman on 23rd of September 2008, Dalma continues to drill deep gas wells, currently with one rig. The BP contracts with initially engaged two rigs were fully upgraded to meet BP Oman specific requirements. The rigs are equipped with Maritime Hydraulics 500 ton top drive, 3 x 1600 hp mud and a state of the art iron roughneck to achieve optimization in drilling activities. BP and Dalma Energy are focusing on very high standards of HSE and Safety Management System to ensure that operations progress with high safety standards.
